Motorcycle Insurance Repairs and Claim Handling
Backroads Custom Cycles works with you and your insurance company. We handle everything from writing your repair estimate, handling your insurance claim to picking up your crashed motorcycle from anywhere in the Bay Area.
The insurance repair process works as follows:
After your motorcycle arrives at Backroads Custom Cycles, we inspect all crash damage and write a detailed repair estimate covering all the damage that occurred.
Once the estimate is complete, we contact your insurance company and inform them that we have your estimate ready. At this point the insurance company will send an adjuster to our shop to go over the estimate with us and compare the damage listed in the estimate with the damage on the motorcycle.
Upon approval of the estimate by the adjuster, he will submit approval of payment to the insurance company. The insurance company then agrees to make payment for the amount specified on the estimate less any deductible amount.
At this point we will place an order for factory OEM replacement parts for everything that needs replacing and get your motorcycle ready for re-assembly as soon as the new parts arrive.
